Solar Minds

The name ‘Solar Minds’ is not only a small play on my own name but it encompasses what I would like my mail club to be. As a confused 20 something I was feeling a little lost in my life, I wished for community and I also wanted to grow, as the way the universe is always growing. Both of these feelings culminated in the creation of Solar Minds.

In a world that tries to get you to always race as fast as you can to the point where you forget to love the process, art for me has always been an escape from this. To slow down, to explore and to be patient when creating.

Starting this has given me a lot of creative energy and a direction in my life again, I would love for this to be something similar for you. To hopefully inspire creation and to get your ideas flowing with the journal prompts and the art to colour yourself. Each month I will send an A5 art print, a sticker, art to try for yourself, a journal prompt and a letter detailing my thoughts and inspiration for the month.

I think it’s important to let your curiosity grow, and try to flow in the direction of it, this mail club is also my expression of this. I want to grow deeper in my art and my expression of all the beautiful things I see and anything I conceptualise. I furthermore hope that this club encourages you to explore and water your own curiosities and I would also love to see what you create and know your thoughts! :)
